Rumah Selangorku is a Selangor-based housing scheme created to provide affordable homes to qualifying residents. As one of Malaysia's most populous states, Selangor faces significant demand for affordable housing, especially among low- and middle-income families.
To address this, Rumah Selangorku requires developers to allocate a portion of their projects for affordable housing units. Launched in 2014 by Lembaga Perumahan dan Hartanah Selangor (LPHS), the initiative supports developers in building quality, affordable homes for the state’s residents.
Who Is Eligible For Rumah Selangorku?
Rumah Selangorku is a housing scheme designed to support the low-income and middle-income citizens of Selangor. That focus means that certain conditions must be met to be eligible for the scheme, which is as follows:
Over 18 years of age
Malaysian citizen
Resident of Selangor
Must not already own a property
Maximum household income of RM10,000
One application per household
Single applicants with dependents may apply
How Do You Apply For Rumah Selangorku?
Applications for the Rumah Selangorku scheme must be made online through the online portal at http://lphs.selangor.gov.my/.
Unlike similar housing schemes, you cannot apply for Rumah Selangorku through paper documentation or in person.
Once you’ve signed up for your account, you will need to provide a range of documentation to confirm your eligibility for the housing scheme.
Copies of identity cards
Birth certificates of children/dependents (if applicable)
Copy of Marriage Certificate or similar documentation (if applicable)
Confirmation letter from employer or Commissioner of Oaths for single self-employed applicants (if applicable)
Pay slips, bank statements, or income verification from Commissioner of Oaths (if applicable)
Statutory declaration from Commission of Oaths of unemployed spouse (if applicable)
EPF statement (if applicable)
Copy of utility bill
Credit reports such as from Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS)
Applicants for Rumah Selangorku are assessed based on a merit system, comparing their eligibility criteria and potential merits.
Successful applicants will be contacted by letter or email to confirm they have been selected for a property under the scheme.
